Has been in Early Childhood Education for 30 years, with a love for children and aesthetic education.

作者Debbie Yap生長在多元種族的馬來西亞，各族的飲食文化交融並蓄，交匯出了美食天堂。鄰裡間也常用「吃飽了嗎？」，「Dah makan?」（你吃了嗎？），「Dah masak?」（你煮了嗎？）的問候方式互相打招呼。國人的日常對話也夾雜著各種語言，就像繪本裡食材伙伴們說話時的熱鬧情景。《Nasi Lemak》最終以「馬來西亞口語」的方式誕生了。

In Nasi Lemak, the ingredients come to life and have playful, funny conversations! 

The author Debbie Yap grew up in Malaysia, a culinary paradise filled with delicious food from different cultures. Here, people greet each other with, “Dah makan?” (Have you eaten?) in different languages.

This love for her home country and beloved mother inspired her to write Nasi Lemak using everyday conversations of Malaysians.
